Calibration baseline

Goal: Show learners where their instincts are right, wrong, and overconfident.

• Live: 20 rapid-fire scenarios (“Will this query be slow at 10M rows?”, “Does this retry loop cause a thundering herd?”). Learners answer and give a confidence score before each reveal.
• Async: Read two short postmortems. For each, write what you would have checked first and why.
• Deliverable: Personal confidence log, which is tracked for the whole course.
